What We Catch

 

January and February:
Large striped bass are the fare this time of the year. Fishing in the ocean from up along the beach up to 3 miles out for these fish. Theses fish can range from 20 to 50 lbs.
 
March and April:
In the early spring we light tackle fish for striped bass in the calm waters of the sound.
 
May and June:
Cobia, spanish mackerel, and king mackerel are what we target in May and June. These fish are swimming by our coast on during their migration. It is not uncommon to see or catch 5 to 10 cobias that range from 20 to 100 lbs. a day.
 
July and August:
The water has warmed up this time of year and bluefish and spanish mackerel are the main course. While fishing for these blusefish and mackeral will look for a chance to sight cast at a cobia or red drum.
 
September and October:
During this time of year the water turns cooler and king mackerel can and do make for some great action.
 
November and December:
